The object—part plant, part totem—appears to either grow upward or hang downward. It was created in response to Maya’s manifesto, which explores the deconstruction of surplus materials as an opportunity to generate new value. Artificial, black flexible forms, inspired by clothing pattern cutouts, are 3D-printed and assembled in varying sizes along a central axis. Connected through geometric locking around the cord, these elements evoke vegetative growth patterns and natural generative structures.
