Twelve bird nests scattered throughout the hanging installation refare to Rakefet’s focus on birds and her manifesto, which views the group as twelve individuals forming a larger, unified whole. The nests are made of clay, and the branches extending from them serve as landing and resting points for birds before entering or leaving the nest. Each nest differs in form and in the inner space it creates, offering an invitation for birds to join the human, collective activity — and, in doing so, to shift the balance of the mobile.
