A human foot serves as a “measure of the human,” and the sock that wraps it becomes a material unit for creating a complete garment/body.
The object echoes Ayelet’s manifesto, which seeks synchronization with material through human action. Here, the human action proposes a new, alternative function for paired and single socks that are no longer in use—objects whose design and modes of production reflect, much like the modern human, technological sophistication and complexity alongside a short lifespan and/or a loss of direction.
